:No offense, because I'm sure he's a nice red, but I get the impression that that the picture exaggerates his color a bit? I mean, he's on a lavender and purple log! :)

This pics was taken at night after I turned his light on, I have a plant grow bulb in there and it does give off a purplish light, hence the log. It may have added a bit to his color I will try to take a pic under better light to give a better representaion of him. He does actually turn a real dark red at night, during the day his color is still fairly red but more subdued.
