What is on his tail? Try to wash it off with lukewarm water. I'm not sure what could be on his tail. Make sure he's eating well. Try to hand feed him some babyfood. No one knows how old cresties can get, but I believe that Allen Repashy of Sandfire Dragon Ranch said that they can probably get to be 20+ years old. Others have said that their animals were quite old when they got them back in 94 and they are still living so they say they are at least 15 years old. Hope the cresty gets better.

:Hi all,
:I recently bought two crested that had obviously been living together (two males). I put them into seperate tanks immediately when I got home but one is significantly smaller and was much thinner. His tale was also in bad shape, kinda scummy looking and covered in stuff. Is there anything I can do for him other than make sure he's eating and stuff. maybe clean his tail somehow.

:Also does anyone know the average captive crestie lifespan?

:Thanks for any help.

:Justin
