If you are new to rhacs (and it sounds like you are), I would get a crested. Leachies are a little more advanced, and you do not want to spend $300 or more on a gecko if you are not familiar with the genus yet. Not to mention they require a lot of room. Cresteds are great introductory animals. They are very hardy and handable, information for their care is also readily available.
