I don't supply any heat source to any of the Rhac species, all they get is room temperature, and they live with the day/night cycle provided by the windows in the room they're in. The cresties and gargoyles breed 10 months of the year, and have no problems whatsoever (I've only got one leachie, so I can't include her in the stats). Temps over approximately 85°F are stressful to them, but erring on the cool side is much safer. Thermoregulating doesn't mean a major drop in temperature, a small change will work just as well, and that's about all they can expect back home in New Caledonia from the info I've been given.
