It is more of a treat thing, and it is good for gravid females. Pinkies are too high in fat for a normal diet. As a weekly treat they are great to give, but not necessary. In the wild they eat mostly fruits, the occasional lizard (including their own young and other rhac’s) and even sometimes birds. Which is prob where their fondness for pinkies comes from. However they will be happy on a diet of fruit and large insects (crix are fine, but they would prob love big roaches).
