Cresties like any animal can bite if provoked enough, however they rarely do. Even if you do get bit it startles you more then it hurts. They have tiny teeth and weak jaws, unlike some of the other rhacs. If your children are going to handle the animal please be aware that the tail will not grow back if it is dropped. This will not hinder the animal at all just make it less appealing. For that reason I highly suggest you get an adult, the younger geckos tend to be more flighty and harder to handle (esp for your children). Other then that it’s pretty basic care (ill send you more info via e-mail), and you will not regret your decision =)
