Braining won't solve a thing so don't try it.
If its FWC Imsuprised your having a problem normally they'll hit anything in front of them.

Try this.
1.Get access to a chick frozen or quail frozen
2.thaw it and rub the rat with it liberally
3.keep the rat in front of the retic with hemostats or tong for atleast 5 minutes if itn doesnt work try again.


p.s. im suprised it'll only take white normally wild caught are fixated on colored mice
