are the spots on the bottom of his shell or the top? i've had my res durdyn for about a year (her shell is 4 inches long) and she has 2 spots like you describe on the outer rim of her shell on the underneath side. (but it isn't uniform, just on 2 segments) they do not cross over to the other segments but take up almost the whole segment that they affect. i use a UVA basking light and a UVB light and feed her a varied diet and keep her water very clean... what's going on?? hopefully someone can help both our turtles :)


:I have three red eared sliders. they love to bask. My heat lamp has burned out so their basking spot is probably room temperature. One of my turtles has some whit spots on his shell. they look like dried shell to me like he is shedding. the color and look is like shedding skin. or how someones fingernails look with psyrosis. there are several one on every hump of his shell in the corner like it is a uniform thing that is why I am thinking shedding. any info would be appreciated.
