Ok, i've read in here about feeding a RES protein and how not enough is bad as well as too much. What i'm wondering about is a young RES..a little over an inch in diameter...what/ how much protein should it be getting? Books i read say that younger turts need more, but how much is more?
I feed my babies Reptomin Sticks, freeze dried shrimp and bloodworms every other day. One the inbetween days, i serve them a mix of veggies and fruits like romaine lettuce, carrots, grapes and cucumbers. They don't so much enjoy this feast, but i keep trying. I don't want to over feed, i don't want to under feed. I am unsure about the amount of protein they should be getting and what is too much. If they won't eat the fruits and veggies, is it ok to just feed them the reptomin sticks everyday? I feel bad when they don't eat bc they don't like the veggies :( Also....about floating the lettuce in the tank. Does this effect water quality and do you have to change the lettuce daily?
thanks for all the help!!
