Thanks. I think it will work out well. I need to figure out the best way to get the water inside it cycling before I hook it into one of my tanks though. I added in some of the water conditioner and some of the bacteria starter.

I'm not sure if I actually need to introduce some fish or turtle waste into it in order to get it going well or not.

I think in a few mins, I will be taking it apart and glueing (maybe silicone) the inlet and outlet, as I think I have a very slight leak...just enough that I see water around the edge of the base.

The pump is quiet, and I have not gurgling noises in the bucket or anything. I believe I will never again buy a filter :)
