It is a painted because it has orange spots on the shell...thank you for keeping this turtle safe...if the pond is pretty natural with plenty of food, places to hide etc then I think it now has a permanent resident:)

I wish parents make the effort to teach their children to be kind to animals...I've seen that kind of behavior too

:agreed lol the parents were telling them not to touch it so to get them away i told them they could get sick and they said ewww and went away thats when i made my move lol thanks alot for the info i couldnt get a pic of him out of the shell
