After 3 weeks of not eating properly, I finally offered Sebastien a mealworm today. He ate it quite enthusiastically. And when i gave him a pellet, he looked at me blankly and swam away. I reckon he's fixated on mealworms as he wont eat anything else.
So HOW do you get a turtle to eat? You cant really ask him nicely to eat his veggies ( believe me, I've tried). Ive already tried taking out mealworms in his diet for three weeks, but the little tyke wont eat anything else I offer him, including gourmet frozen turtle food from the pet store. I dont really want to starve him. Whats so good about mealworms anyway? Maybe I should try one and find out...
