:when i was younger i had a box turtle but not for long (i couldn't take care of it so i gave it away) now i was in the pet store the other day and they are selling baby turtles from the pics on this site i think its a slider i have to go take a closer look. my question is how big do they get i heard what ever these turtles are the don't get big also will a 10 gal tank be good enough for 1??? and whats good for them to eat??? thanks alot

I recomend you get them a 20 gallon long tank, because they will grow to be pretty darn big. The people in the pet store are liable to tell you that they will not grow, because that makes them easier to sell. They are probably red eared sliders, because red eared sliders are the most popular species in turtles in the U.S. Females can get up to 15 inches, and females get bigger than males. If you want some valuable information, go to the search bar on this website, and type "care sheet" in the blank tab. Good luck
