No..I don't disagree....I'm not familiar with New York wildlife laws for keeping chelonians....Most vets will tell you if they can see your turtle or not...You can also call wildlife agency for your area...They will not punnish you for asking about the laws...Does not mean you must tell them you now have one...


::You never specified where you now are keeping the turtles. Some veterinarians that specialize in chelonians also are closely watched by local wildlife agencies. It is a federal law that states allowed to sell them retain such until a length of 10cm is reached. I can understand your vets concerns. You may try asking him/her for advice. They will generally give you a clean bill of health that way...Hope this helps..

:do you mean where am i keeping them as in a tank or as in a state??? i'm in NY. I haven't actually seen a vet yet because of my concern of them taking them away, but it seems like everyone else said it wasn't a problem. You disagree??
