bask for minutes? hours? days?

about how long do they bask at a time? i mean i know that they dont have a schedule or anything, but they seam to bask for hours at a time...... i know this is probably normal, i just wanted to make sure so i know that they arent sick and weak..... thanks in advance, kevin
