That's not very smart and very unhealthy for the turtles. Be sure to feed them pellets at least, which consists a lot of fish meat as well as vitamins and other stuff. Turtles are mostly plant-eating in the wild which equals healthy turtles... yours are over weight because of their fatty diet... rule of thumb you should only feed RES's fish as a treat maybe once a week.

It maybe cool to see them catch goldfish but it's really not good for them
