If the wound has not healed in several weeks then you should take her to the vet (this is not an overeaction)...this is what happens the wound doesn't seal you place your turtle in its normal aquatic habitat and bacteria enters the wound and the condition worsens...a vet with plenty of reptile experience can give the best advice and will probably administer antibiotics and give you a schedule to follow e.g. how long to leave your turtle dry, raising tank temps etc...good luck and please keep us updated we can learn from this experience
