There's a guy locally who runs a reptile shop that had a run-in with the HS officers because he was selling a few Diadems. They told him he could not sell them in his area as they fell under a municipal law that prohibited sales of any venomous species including rearfangs...and diadema was one of 'em.
I grew up hearing that they were indeed rearfanged. Maybe I was wrong all this time. I do know they have posteriorly placed teeth that seem quite large, not unlike Heterodon and Trimorphs I am more familiar with.
