Anyone know anything about "Night Snakes"?

Hi guys,
Saw night snakes at the hamburg show right before i picked up my A. Prasina. The guy selling them said they're midwestern and not too venomous. I really liked them but I need more info before I go get one. A latin name and any other info would be appreciated. I wouldn't mind another rear-fanged snake, especially if it's one I can handle and not have it kill me lol. Thanks again everyone! I'd also like to hear some about boomslangs.....
