and North American and I didn't even have either one in my collection. Go figure. lol. A good looking Mandarin is top of the list in Old World. I'll go with that too. I haven't worked with those awesome and gorgeous Old World yet, so I picked situla as a consistently great looking Old World. I don't even think I've seen a mandarin in person. I figured you'd take a jab on having a pair of "intermontana". Good shot.lol. I keep meaning to pursue a pair, but can't seem to make the committment. I'm doing the same thing with them that I say others shouldn't do. Give me a heads up if you hear or see any opportunities to obtain a pair. You're right, it's hard to pick favorites on rat snakes or corns. I really need to pick the top 3 at least of Old World and Norht American. I didn't even mention my beloved Spilotes.

:Hi, Ter. I agree with the situla being very nice. I think it's hard to beat a nice Mandarin for Old World, though.

:I like your pick of the "Intermontana" corn, too, and I do have a pair, haha. They are a very neat snake. It's hard to pick an American rat. I've liked many corns, the bairdi are very nice, you know I like the greens, and there's others depending on who's doing the choosing.

:I'd say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I pick many of my snakes because I like the species, the way they behave, etc. I think all of my ratsnakes are beautiful, even though others may not. Later, TC.

:

::situla (leopard) rat snake for Old World;
::emoryi intermontana (great plains) rat snake for North America.

::Wouldn't you know, I don't have either in my collection. I love the head pattern and look of the situlas. The intermontana can vary in color quite a bit, but some of the populations in their range are gorgeous looking snakes. I haven't picked either of these snakes up for my collection yet. I'll be patient and get the ones I have to have. The ones I would like have a pretty good list for them right now. Who knows, anything can come up. hehe.

:::What is everyone's opinion of the most beutiful Ratsnake?
