Most captive born & bred animals are easier to care for than imported animals, therefore, it's important to know what you are getting. F1, F2, F3, would be a universal representation of captive breeding efforts and those efforts would be better choices wild caught animals. A good example of this would be an importer gets a female mandarin rat snake that lays eggs in captivity. The mom is imported and has little to no chance of survival, however, her eggs properly incubated should hatch and they would be F1. Those F1 babies will do better in captivity and through captive breeding efforts will go on to produce future offspring F2, F3, etc. which will thrive even more! It would not make any difference to where the animals are bred (USA Europe ETC.), as long as they are captive born & bred. We hope this clears things up for you.
