I have seen wildcaught Black Racers here in SW VA that have topped 7 feet.

: 3-5 feet. They eat lizards, frogs, small mammals,and small snakes. Juveniles will eat insects as well. Basically anything small enough to overpower and swallow without constricting.

  • I have caught several in the six foot range.I also saw one that a Tom Dickinson 03/16/02 (1)
