farmer shot that was well over six feet.They were not black rats.This same farmer also shot a black rat that was well over 8 feet.his farm was the dirtiest, smelly,rat infested place you have ever seen .Snakes never went hungry around there.Sadly they moved a long time ago and you don't find much back there anymore.
