: Recently i found two baby snakes close to each other. They were discovered under the bark of cut down tree. The tree went into the water and i found them at least six feet out. They are mostly black with white stripes. Central Mass, somebody please help. They are about six inches long. also, how can i send a pic of them?

Where from central Mass are you from? I grew up in Leominster and live in Salem now. Sounds like you could have a ribbon or garter. I've been finding alot of ribbons around here lately. Never found a black ratsnake so I can't let you know about that one. Good luck, Scott.
