I have raised several hatchling eastern coachwhips and found that hibernating them often triggered a feeding response. I of course had to force feed them for several months before I could hibernate them. I have two hatchlings from last year that are just now eating pinkies on their own. They also like to be very warm with plenty of surface heat.
