: : Last year I obtained some coachwhip hatchlings. I was unable to get them to feed, and after several weeks, was forced to release them(they were native) to fend for themselves. What do hatchlings eat? What might I have done?I've had adults before and had no problems. What can I do in the future to prevent this from occuring?

: I have had the best luck with crickets and small sceloporus. I think you can get them to eat small snakes as well, but I wouldnt want them getting hooked on them. In the wild I believe that they eat insect mainly as young'ins.
