:Jake you aren't confused! You are absolutely correct! It was from a "het" to "het" breeding! The original Ivory (grandmother to these baby Ivories) was bred to a normal red blood. Her babies all were "hets". They always looked "special" i.e. different than normal red blood babies to us, but we just thought maybe the locality where she was from might have affected their look. Now that we have bred a pair of those "hets" and once again see a difference in the look of the "66% poss hets"-it looks to be a codominant. We will be continuing to add info through results from other crosses. The most important one to us will be a repeat of the Ivory to normal cross, and a "het" to normal cross.
