Put a big red flag on anything that seems too good! There are MANY that seem like reputable places (based on website appearence, mag advertising etc) that are notorious bait and switch and will place high pressure on you for accessories. They will tell you gear is in stock when it's not and if you deline the accessories, might never be in stock (for you). Many of the vendors who are cheaper than others are selling "grey" market with international warrantees that may or may not be honored by the manufacturer in the US. Also, look at the ridiculously high shippng and handling rates of these places that low-ball the prices.
My advise - If you purchase online (and I have purchased thousands of dollars in gear online) is to buy from someone reputable and pay a few extra dollars. I HIGHLY recommend B&H Photo and Video or Adorama Photo - both out of New York. Their web sites are www.bhphotovideo.com and www.adorama.com.
I'm sure there are others on this board who will second these choices. If you get caught up with a bad one, you're in for a nightmare.
