Phew-- Chances are that this turtle will survive...if the injury scars over before any infection sets in. You can forget about it ever breeding though! I've seen this before, unfortunately. There are certain species that are notorious for this. It's a bad idea to mix Sliders with smaller turtles. Sorry to hear about the injury!
