seems like dorsalis, if i remeber correctly, has asmall range much further south
but painteds are popular pets and bred in some numbers so it could be a releas3d captive
plus old captives could be breeding with the westerns or midlands there
ther eis an old map on the web somewhere
maybe i can find it
i t may be outdated though
