The reason she thinks it was a pet is because she saw a truck pull up to a stream, a guy got out went to the water and got back into his truck. She went over to where he went and found the turtle. There are no turtles in that stream. I do not think this turtle would do well in this area since there are no other turtles and it is flowing water. Don't they need water like in a pond or lake? Should she take it to a pond or lake and let it go?
