This is why you should not catch or buy wild caught turtles because it is rude to the turtle and they become sick very easy. If the turtle is swimming lop sided then it has pnemonia (spelling). Its only chance at survival is if you take it to a reptile vet. Make sure you water is in the mid 70's and your basking area is in the mid 80's. I hope you take him to the vet.
