Information on habitat laws.

Is there any laws in NJ concerning feild herping? I do not feild collect but i commonly trudge through swamps, woods, whatever in search of reptiles to photograph etc. and although i try to leave as little footprint as possible, is there any laws against disturbing habitat and/or handling wild herps like this? I just dont want to get slapped with a fine by a forest ranger. any help would be apreciated Thanks, Bill
