: Quick question here guys. I know you need a permit to keep exotic animals, but do you need another permit if you want to sell one? Like an exotic sellers permit or something? I have a 20 inch green basilisk which doesn't get along with her cagemate, so I wanted to put an ad in our local paper or something, but I don't want to be breaking any laws.
: I live in Sussex County, NJ.
: Thanks in advance.
Hello. No, you don't really need a permitt for a one time sale like that. You would need another permit for selling on a continual basis and the sales permit in NJ is 100 dollars a year. Fish and Wildlife wont give you a hassel with selling through the local newspapers because your not doing it on a large scale. Hope this helped.
