I do the love sock thing with all my iguanas, male or female, kinda just a habit. But lucky to say have never had a problem with aggression. What I also know is true is that males can sense when a female owner is mestruating, so do yourself a favor and stay away then. Also I was told once that the aggresion can be due to something lacking in the food so try and give the biggest variety possible, finally the only thing I can suggest is try and think if anything has changed in the last month and a half, did you move the cage, maybe change the cage, or even if something in the house change, that can trigger things like this.
