Andrew,

I can understand your frustration. I would feel the same thing. I think that it is very generous of you to offer to help them care for their igs without pay. Getting them to let you do this will be quite tricky, as you suggested. I would try voicing your concerns and telling them that you realize that it is hard to put a lot of time and effort into each animals when you are trying to take care of a storefull (although, IMHO, that's their job, and if they can't do it, they shouldn't have the store). Tell them that you are willing to volunteer your time to help them out in any way you can, without any need for being paid. Tell them about your ig (are you Geebee's dad?) and express to them that you would like to help others get good ig care info so they can enjoy their ig like you enjoy yours. All you can do is try. If you are polite and easy-going about it, and they still refuse, then I would look into finding a place to report them to for animal neglect and/or abuse. Check back regularly and let them know that you reported them, not because you were trying to be a jerk or something, but because you are concerned about the quality of care their animals are receiving. It sounds like this place is a prime NIAD target. Good luck, Andrew! You are taking on a daunting task. Igs everywhere will thank you for your efforts. Let us know how it goes.

Deena
