I was contacted by one of my volunteers in Rhode Island
about an article in the local paper. Unfortunately,
in a weekly column by Dr. Linda L. Hanson entitled
Feeding Your Pet Iguana, everything we have been
working for was shot down. See below :
"Iguana's are hardy creatures and relatively easy
to care for, they make great pets."
"They should eat a varied diet consisting of 70%
vegetables such as dark green lettuce, broccoli,
spinach, squash, and carrots; 15%fruits such as bananas
and pears; and 15% canned dog food"
These lines appeared in the 10/14-10/21 issue and the
e-mail to send your response to is valbreeze@aol.com
This is really important ... if you do nothing else
today make sure you voice your opinion on this issue.
