The myth of the mealworm eating through the stomach lining of a lizard or salamander or anything for that matter is just that, a myth. Maybe but still a big if was if the animal was sick or dead and the mealworm was just eating on the corpse. The thing is as long as the animal is healthy,etc the digestive enzymes and such would be too strong for the mealworm to survive long enough for him to chew his way through.
