Axolotl Aquarium Setup Help

Hello all -

I'm not normally an amphibian hobbyist, but have a question regarding some Axolotls that hopefully somebody here can help me with.

I work part-time at a local science education center that received two HUGE albino axolotls a few months ago after their owner died. We have also recently had a 100 gallon aquarium donated from another source that is sitting empty. Because the axolotls are not really handleable for education purposes, I'm trying to convince my supervisor that we should set up a display tank for them using the above mentioned 100 gallon aquarium.

I'm looking for information that might help me design an appropriate habitat for these super cool guys, but most of the books or sources I've located are fairly old and I don't know how reliable. I'm looking in particular for info on water quality, tank decorations, and possible safe tank mates (seeing as this is a pretty big aquarium). Right now they're living in a fairly plain 20 gallon aquarium and chowing down on trout chow, crickets and mealworms. Any information or references that could help me build the ultimate axolotl tank would be greatly appreciated!
