Name that Nerodian (I hope :P)

I caught this little guy crossing the road last night.
I have absolutely NO experience with identifying juvenile nerodians so, naturally, I am not certain what sp it is.
I am in Wood County, Tx half way between Shreveport and Dallas.
We have plenty of yellow bellied water snakes (which is my guess after some research) But we also have diamond back and broadbanded. Diamond backs and yellow bellied are plentiful here but I've never seen a broad banded that I could identify.
What you don't see in the pic is a divided anal plate and creamy/yellowish belly.

Anyway, I appreciate the input.

BTW: Its my intention to release him after I get a few more pics and identify him properly. I enjoy keeping track of these thing you know. :)
