I do run into Bandeds on a regular basis when I am back home in Tallahassee, FL. I did manage to find one out and basking at the end of this past December. He was pretty cold but not so much that he couldn't bite the crap out of me!

I am currently attending school in Davidson, NC so it is definitely not watersnake weather up here right now. The few watersnakes I see in the vicinity of the school are all N. sipedon. I did find a FANTASTIC place to observe Nerodia in South Carolina. It's called Lansford Canal State Park. There is a link below to my trip there last spring.
