... I walked in to find my male erythrogaster belly up and mouth open today-- dead. I don't know what the problem was. He became real listless the past couple days and I couldn't get him to take any food. I guess it was just stress, pure and simple. He was hydrated and had decent body weight. He wouldn't use either of the hides in the cage, unfortunately.
Well the good news is the little female is doing awesome and feeding on everything I give her. I'm very bummed. I hate to see such a beautiful animal just up and die like that but I don't know what else I could have done. Well I guess I need to be on the lookout for another male.
