I'm guessing that pure stress was the culprit. I hadn't even started de-worming him because I was concentrating on getting them settled in and feeding first. Well I guess I can focus my efforts on the little female now.
I also had a little red male Mangrove go into spasms and die a couple weeks ago. I had only had him for two days. He was having severe convulsions at noon and by 8 o'clock, he was dead. It was very sad. It looked like a neural defect rather than stress. I'm getting a replacement next season from the breeder, but it still sucked watching him die.
Everyone else is doing well, I'm glad to say.
