Sorry for the lag in responding, we had "movie night" tonight. And the post I just wrote I accidently wiped out - so here goes again. Three of the NFP are the "natural" colours, tan ground colour with black and brown bands separated by white single scale row rings. Fe is the darkest (oldest) but her pattern is still quite distinct. The fourth, Hudson, is a wild caught hypo. He's orange over-all with red blotches down his length. He may be ready to mate with Fe next year BUT I have a problem! When I received Hudson in April he was mite infested (they all were) and he had numerous weeping pustules down his back. I was able to "clean him up" it seemed however, about 2 months ago he aquired an eye infection. To the vet, antibiotics, cleared up within 2 weeks. 7 days later re-occured. Back on antibiotics. Had a fecal exam done - no parasites - continue antibiotics - cleared up. 4 days ago Atcheson had a white spec in his eye, immediately began antibiotics - next day HIS entire eye was involved. Continuing meds for both. Called vet, am picking up Panacur and Flagyl tomorrow and will treat all!
Only the taxi's are housed together - the common denominators are their food source, and place I got them (4 months apart).
It may be coincidence, but I'm going to do whatever I can think of. Right now the vet has no answers (except exploritory surgery and more tests). Never had "sick" animals before, beginning to sweat, Michael56.
