Yes it definitely could be. That was one of the considerations at the outset - one which required inciseing the eye cap to draw some fluid for testing! As it is rare, I was hoping to eliminate other options first. I was out today picking up my triple-beam balance from my brother-in-law (bullet re-loading) and have just finished weighing all the snakes to determine dose rates of meds. Quite a spread with the smallest at 14" (taxi) @ 38 grams to the red-belly (51"+) @ 1300 grams. What's frustrating is that the infection cycles, so I may not be sure when it's eradicated for good. I will endeavor to be faithful and end this plague!
