It seems to me that MHDs may not poo dailey as one would expect. Also, they frequently find a hiding place under a plant or branch where they do their duty. If he isn't dehydrated and his color is good I wouldn't worry too much. I would switch to crix for a while if he is turning down the standard feeders. Sometimes they don't feel like eating and sometimes the just want something new to eat. Sounds to me he's not in any danger and if your vet didn't feel a blockage then I wouldn't worry.

Most of the cases where an MHD has died of impaction there has been a lot more involved, like having been gravid, being ill with something else, or being a WC that isn't established yet. I realize that Cyndi lost Bob who what captive hatched but when an entire clutch fails I lean a little more to the possibility of the mother having been in too poor of health and the babies being weak as a result. Too many unknowns and too many factors involved.
