:can you use the heavy gauge (it's about 2-3 mm thick)black plastic screening for a nile cage, or will it get ripped to shreds? found this stuff in the fencing section at home depot. seems like it's tough enough, i'm just worried about long term abuse.
All I know is that I recently had a male argus shred the metal hardware cloth mesh on his cage and escape. I found him, fortunately, although he did get several cuts from the metal mesh on the head and neck area (healed now). If a determined monitor can shred hardware cloth, they can probably shred plastic mesh even easier.
