I have used logs purchased and found in the field both good to use... I just made the proper precautinary things like soaking and freezing.... i ve used for my boa , ornate and savs and have had no trouble.....after soaking and freezing i let sit outside to dry and then inspect it to make sure nothign unusual like bugs, termites etc...
