First you should understand, putting more then one monitor in a enclosed area(cage) can be dangerous, even the same species. Its always another added risk. By putting different species in the same enclosure, it makes it that much more difficult and dangerous. Of course, those are your risks to take.
It also assumes that you know the needs of both species and know how to address them. Do you?
Then if you meet their needs, are your prepared for the possibility that they may cross?
Lastly, the only way to know is to try. No matter what anyone here says, only you will be able to achieve the real answer. F
