I take it that you divided the tank in half making 2, 24 inch tanks. What I would do is get a 11" wide piece of flexwatt 2 feet of it. Cut it down to 20 inches long and put it right in the center of your tank under the divider so it puts 10 inches of heat space under each side while useing one piece of flexwatt and one controller. This gives you 14 inches of unhet space to make a heat gradient.
use:I sorta detored from previous tank plans and went with a 55 gallon aquarium and added a tank divider so that i could house babies in the tank with adults until babies are mature and of proper size to house together. Given this configuration an UTH setup would be prefered. But what percentage of tank is needed to be covered by UTH
